Refund Policy

​This Refund Policy applies to donations made to EmpowerHer Legacy, a nonprofit organization exempt from federal income tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

 

Donations:

 

Donations made to EmpowerHer Legacy are generally considered non-refundable. As a nonprofit organization, we rely on the generosity of our donors to support our mission and the services we provide to the community. These funds are typically allocated and utilized promptly to further our charitable objectives.

 

Exceptions:

 

While donations are generally non-refundable, EmpowerHer Legacy may consider refund requests in limited and exceptional circumstances, such as:

 

  • Clerical Error: If a donation was processed due to a clear administrative or technical error on the part of EmpowerHer Legacy.

  • Unauthorized Transaction: If a donation was made without the donor's authorization, the donor must notify EmpowerHer Legacy promptly upon becoming aware of the unauthorized transaction and provide sufficient evidence.

  • Duplicate Donation: If a donor inadvertently makes a duplicate donation for the same amount.

 

Requesting a Refund:

To request a refund, donors must submit a written request to EmpowerHer Legacy within 7 days of the date the donation was made. The request must clearly state the reason for the refund request and include supporting documentation, such as:

 

  • Date and amount of the donation.

  • Method of payment.

  • Name and contact information of the donor.

  • A detailed explanation of the reason for the refund request.

  • Any relevant supporting documentation (e.g., bank statements, confirmation emails).

Review and Decision:

Upon receipt of a refund request, EmpowerHer Legacy will review the request and any supporting documentation. We reserve the right to make the final determination on all refund requests on a case-by-case basis. We may request additional information from the donor to process the request.

 

Method of Refund:

If a refund is approved, it will be processed using the original method of payment, unless otherwise agreed upon. Please allow 7 - 10 business days for the refund to be processed and reflected in your account.

 

Services:

​

This refund policy pertains specifically to donations. Fees or payments made for specific services provided by EmpowerHer Legacy, if any, may be subject to a separate agreement or policy.
